Reporters sans frontières:"N'attendez pas qu'on vous prive de l'information pour la défendre"
"Le voyage est un travail et, sans doute aussi, un art. Il n'autorise pas le laisser-aller, mais requiert le meilleur de notre acuité."

You will find it worth your while to spend a few days here, to discover what the Middle Age and Renaissance town has to offer. We especially recommend that you visit the most
interesting areas of the town centre on foot. This will take you about one hour for each. of the many suggested interesting itineraries. You may choose to stay a little longer to get to know the town better or you will want to come back again. The Tourist Office organizes guided visits of the town all the year round. For further information, contact the Tourist Office in Troyes. Website below.
Now, there are many picturesque places where to enjoy good food and stupendous wines. Why not try the excellent Claudine & Gilles André's Le Valentino, next to the delightful hotel Relais St.Jean or, as a start to your gastronomical adventure, the nearby picturesque "Aux crieurs de vin". Here, you'll have the additional pleasure of being served by the beautiful Egyptian-born Samia. TravelMag couldn't resist showing you her picture, as seen above. Neither could we hide the "Crieurs" leaflet produced in a quaint"Shakespearian" speak. The food is better than the prose! Here we go:
"A wine bar must be a meeting place for wine
lovers . fans of thirst quenching wines &
immediate pleasure who use their sensitivity.
It's not for those who speak a lot and just
look at the bottles but real connoisseurs.
To make the wines we love there's no need for
harvesting machines, new oak barrels or
oenologists with their knowledge of chemistry.
Nature must be allowed to take its course.
Healthy grapes obtained in small yields from
carefully tendered vineyards fermented
without industrial yeasts, little or no
chaptilizing and just the minimum dose of
sulphur. Then you add to this a good percentage
of skill: you have the recipe of the wines we
love at Aux crieurs de vin.
You'll enjoy a large choice of nature wines of
all over the French country and the
good bubbles of our region,
so stop by , because...
...here's to quenching your next
thirst !
